How Not To Protest Your Work Route
May 16, 2008 at 12:32 am | In Fargo, News | No CommentsAngry flight attendant charged with setting fire on plane
Word to the wise - if you are hired by Northwest subsidary Compass Airlines and don’t like working the Minneapolis to Regina (Saskatchewan) route please don’t set fire to the airplane. You end up diverting to Fargo (luckily not Grand Forks
) and get charged by the FBI for setting a fire on a civilian aircraft.
Sounds like we get this entertaining little story here in Fargo for a while, since they’re charging and prosecuting him out of the Fargo US Attorney’s Office. Sweet! Everytime I get frustrated with my job I’ll remember at least I’m not dumb enough to set fire to a plane I’m on in protest of my assigned work.

Cali Supremes Overturn Marriage Ban
May 15, 2008 at 12:33 pm | In Gay, News | No CommentsCalifornia’s top court overturns gay marriage ban
This is a landmark, but not unforseen, decision. California could become the 2nd state after Massachusetts to legalize marriage for all. We’ll see how the news plays out over the next couple of weeks. Also we’ll see how the proposition to ban gay marriage goes - as it now will very likely be on the ballot in the fall.

Edwards Endorses Obama
May 14, 2008 at 4:42 pm | In News, Politics | No Comments<iJJ> Beginning of The End of Democratic Primary <iJJ>
At a campaign stop in Michigan Barack Obama is expected to invite a special guest on stage, John Edwards. It is at that time that he will endorse Sen. Obama for President. The Edwards endorsement, along with the NARAL Pro-Choice endorsement, marks the beginning of the end for the Clinton candidacy. Hillary can continue to run until June 3rd - however it looks to be for naught.

Couch JJ; Greek Recap 1.17 “Mr. Purr-fect”
May 13, 2008 at 10:59 pm | In Greek, Television | No Comments<10:59p> Woot woot! It’s time for another Greek!
<11:00p> Fade in to the ZBZ’s - they are on their way to some fraternity houses to coach them for the ZBZ Fest competitions. Frannie, Casey, and Rebecca make a side bet involving the loser cleaning the winners bathrooms. Frannie gets the OCs, Rebecca gets the KTs, and Casey gets the previously mostly unseen hot athletic fraternity. Hot. Rebecca isn’t having much luck with the party happy KTs, provoking Cappie to appoint Rusty as an assistant for her. They don’t like that, but Cappie persists.
<11:06p> Frannie and Evan have an encounter and agree that the previous kiss was a drunken mistake. Pan to Casey and Ashley as they are drooling over the hot ‘thong’ guy from the athletic fraternity. Then Ashley and Calvin are walking along… she mentions a dude from her french class (the TA) that she thinks is gay… and then proceeds to introduce them and fix them up on a date. Sweet! BTW next week is supposed to be a kiss.
<11:10p> Rusty is scheduling grooming appointments for Rebecca, and snaps. He wants to tell Cappie about it, but his brothers persuade him not to. Adhere to the guy code - let them implode on their own, and keep scheduling her waxings until then.
<11:11p> Casey and Evan are having a civil conversation, then thong-dude comes by. I don’t blame Casey for immediately going to him and cutting the convo with Evan short. Evan’s hot, but thong-dude is pure hotness.
<first commercial break>
The now ubiquitous commercial for LG involving Iron Man plays. Love that movie btw, if you didn’t read my review.
<11:17p> We’re back with Rusty delivering Rebecca a latté. However she wanted an iced latté, wherein Rusty almost tells her that she’s a bitch - but goes and gets her an iced one. Over at the scratching post the athletic fraternity kicks KT and OC butt, and Casey continues to flirt/bond with thong dude. In the aftermath Rebecca has Rusty relay a message of doom and gloom to the KTs, which Cappie tries to downplay - and the guys ‘agree’ its no big deal.
<11:20p> Now onto Calvin’s date, where Calvin does an AWESOME Tyra impression - then is rudely interrupted by a few of his fraternity brothers. He goes into ubër straight acting mode and it makes the date kinda awkward. Then over to Cappie and Rebecca where he tries to tell her she’s getting too serious about the competition and tries to initiate relations. She doesn’t want him to lose stamina and pivots into more competition stuff. Back to Calvin at the OC house… the doorbell rings and a delivery guy is there with flowers… for Calvin. Michael liked the date, and maybe wanted to retaliate for the straight awkwardness at the earlier lunch date.
<second commercial break>
I feel for Calvin, but don’t. He needs to learn to be more open and nonchalant with his fraternity brothers and they need to cope with a gay fraternity brother (its the 21st century people!). However I would feel awkward as hell too.
<11:26p> Casey and Ashley are taking about guys. No Cappie, no Evan, she’s majoring in thong dude. Sweet.
<11:27p> Now to the Jail-N-Bail event. Evan and Frannie are talking about Casey - and how he’s not on board with the friendship train and really wants back on relationship airlines. I can’t tell if Frannie is being nice or trying to be manipulative…
<11:29p> Rusty is trying to fundraise and isn’t doing so well. Rebecca is getting on him about taking so long. She then writes a check to end it. Rusty and her then get into it. Stealing Cappie is mentioned, Jen K is also thrown out there. Not pretty. The KTs keep deflecting Cappie away from the whole “Rebecca can be a bitch” thing.
<11:32p> Calvin and TA have an argument, I think. It basically ends with them setting up another date to see a movie at the gay filmfest. Over at KT Rebecca is training Cappie for the Mr Purrfect pageant, it ends with Rusty telling Cappie that Rebecca is being a pain in the ass. Cappie thanks him and tells him to not take the guy code to heart. Its done damage in the past and shouldn’t be used anymore.
<11:36p> At the see-saw-a-thon Casey is coaching the hot athletic fraternity - and is offering snacks and hot cocoa to thong dude. He says he didn’t notice her doing that for any of the other guys and asks her if Evan and her are done. Yep, she says, we’re just friends. Then comes an attempted kiss… she gets chin and he gets forehead as he’s see-sawing upwards. Rain check. Maybe we’ll see hot thong dude smooching next week too.
<third commercial break>
<11:39p> At Dobler’s we kick off the Mr. Purrfect pageant. Ashley is backstage talking to Calvin about Michael (TA). He doesn’t want to go to the gay movie ’cause he doesn’t like when everything is about being gay. Ashley then volunteers to go with him. I love her! Back to the pageant… and the best part, swimsuit! Then talent. Cappie and Rusty do a faux ventriloquist thing. It doesn’t go over well. Rebecca doesn’t like it, but Cappie tells her it was for the best - she agrees and they kiss.
“Have you ever seen a gay film before?”
-Calvin
“Does the Devil Wears Prada count?”
-Ashley
<11:46p> On the way to the gay filmfest Ashley and Calvin come to a conclusion that the only person with a problem with how stuff has gone, and is going, is Calvin and he needs to move beyond it. They meet up with Michael and go to the movie. Back at ZBZ Fest hot thong dude wins Mr. Purrfect and the hot athletic fraternity wins the Fest. Casey and thong dude set up a date, then Evan tries to buy him out of it. $500 isn’t enough, but he offers $1000. Before he answers we get… a commercial. At least its for The Incredibles (its a good flick).
<fourth commercial break>
I love the interplay between Ashley and Calvin. Its so genuine. Their interaction was good before she knew he was gay, and its continued to be great since then… well except for the little fallout over semester time after she accidentally outed him to his fraternity. Anywho the interplay is awesome.
<11:53p> Apparently $1000 is enough to buy hot thong guy out of a date with Casey. ![]()
He cancels, no rain check, poor Casey. Next day at the KT house Cappie officially abolishes the guy code. Rebecca then comes bearing an apology and pizza. She also formally apologizes to Rusty, and he agrees that they can tolerate each other. Back at ZBZ Frannie and Evan converse, and she lets out that her and Rebecca hired a maid service to clean the winners bathroom (the whole bet thing). While Evan is there he asks Casey out on a friends-only coffee date. Off they go… and we’re done for this week.
<end of episode>
Next week… Is the greek system is danger of extinction… is Rusty going to spy on Dale and USAG… more importantly who gets it on next week?
Tune back in then!

Couch JJ; Work Out Recap 3.04 “No Pain, No Gain”
May 13, 2008 at 9:01 pm | In Television, Work Out | No Comments<9:00p> We start with a recap of the previous week. It’ll be interesting to see where things go after the cancer-client/Peeler fall-out.
<9:03p> Jackie is talking with Peeler’s now former Sky Lab’er - letting her know what went down and that it had nothing to do with his training skills. It had to do with his attitude toward certain things, mostly her authority, and how he would work around a system instead of trying to work within it.
<9:05p> Jackie does a beach boot camp and is not impressed with how the Sky Lab’ies were performing after 3 weeks. Jackie then surprised them with wet suits and boogie boards for a little active fun.
<9:08p> Jackie announces she is taking the Sky Lab’ies to a weekend retreat in northern Cali. Cool. Then JD goes over and gives a massage to Rebecca’s Sky Lab’er, and my mind wanders to wishing I was getting a massage by JD…
<9:11p> Greg P goes over to Peeler’s house to talk about the whole fall out thing. Renessa also joins the discussion and Greg mentions how it may have to do with Jackie being insecure. Greg says he supports Peeler and is behind him. They coddle him basically. I’m not anti-Peeler, but I’m all for factual crticisims - and so far all I’m getting is some he said/she said shit.
<first commercial break>
<9:16p> Agostina goes to visit her Sky Lab’er at his place. She makes sure he’s following his diet and gives him tips on how to exercise at home. I love his catty attitude, she asks him what he can do with the weird half-ball thingy and he responds, “burn the damn thing!”
<9:18p> Jackie assign’s Peeler’s Sky Lab’er to JD. Henceforth she is JD’s Sky Lab’er. Then everyone gets on the bus for the Sky Lab’ies Weekend Retreat. There’s a scene between Jackie and Jesse where they act like they’re gonna kiss, but don’t of course - I love it. Then Renessa confesses to Rebecca that she is crushing hard on Greg P.
<9:22p> The trainers and Lab’ies check into the hotel and then go and have a really good light dinner. JD starts bonding with his Lab’er, letting her know she can call on him anytime for anything. Jackie then advies the Lab’ies to get a good night sleep - then lets the trainers know they are going to be hitting the Lab’ies hard this weekend. As in making them cry sort of hardcore training. Drama!
<second commercial break>
JD is starting to grow on me. He’s the sweet quiet type - that’s a good thing.
Oh snap, a preview for next weeks episode has Peeler and Jackie confrontation. Sweet.
<9:30p> The trainers start by waking up their Lab’ers and then down on the beach Jackie pushes them hardcore on beach boot camp with the trainers supporting their Lab’er. Deenie, Greg B’s Lab’er, is proving to be quite the lazy little drama queen. All the other Lab’ies are doing well, just not Deenie. She hurts, she cries, shes a victim and contributes a negative attitude to the group. Jackie says if anyone is not doing 3 sessions a week at Sky Sport then they’re out.
<9:33p> Rebecca tells Greg P about Renessa’s crush on him. Greg says he doesn’t want a relationship right now, understandable - and Rebecca’s like, “well you still have to have sex!”
Rebecca.
<9:35p> The Lab’ie and trainers jump in the pool and Greg P has them do an aquatic boot camp. He does a really good job at it, and both the trainers and Lab’ies enjoy it. Except for Deenie - pan to her smoking right after the aquatic boot camp. Wow, healthy choice dude.
<9:36p> Now a food preparation demonstration so that the Lab’ies can learn to how to cook well for themselves well into the future. Then Agostina’s Lab’er talks to another Lab’er about how Deenie is being stupid and only hurting herself. Then Jackie trots out a snack bar. OMG another freakin’ Jackie Warner product! DVD, snack bar, what’s next a franchise of lesbian work out bars?
<third commercial break>
Oh hell no! They’re showing a commercial for a new season of Flipping Out. Why in the frick would you do another season of that train wreck. I don’t recommend that Bravo show, it’s stupid.
<9:44p> Agostina is doing a yoga-boxing boot camp. Huh? Oh, she starts with boxing exercises followed by yoga stretching. That works! Then it is evening and time for a group therapy session. Woot woot! Intense stories are shared by all the Lab’ies and many tears are shed. Words really can’t describe it, this is a scene you need to watch. While Deenie (Greg B’s Lab’er) is sharing Micah (Agostina’s Lab’er) Micah and Jesse kinda start piling on her… then the other Lab’ies turn on her. She’s making excuses and even the Lab’ies are sick of it - and Micah calls her out on it.
“Shut the fuck up and just fucking do it!”
-Micah towards fellow Lab’er Deenie
<fourth commercial break>
<9:56p> We come back to Deenie outside smoking and everyone else inside debating how to handle her. Greg B goes and lets her know that she is still a valued part of the program, and the other Lab’ies let her know that they care to - and may just show it in a very passionate almost angry way.
<end of episode>
Next week… Jackie confronts the trainers about drinking on a training retreat… Jackie confronts Greg P about excessive drinking… AND Peeler confronts Jackie about the whole firing thing and their personality differences. What’ll happen? Well tune in to Bravo next week and See What Happens.

Now that the writers are giving them a little to chew on Van, Jake, and Tala are actually getting their acting grove on. Plus any Luke & Lucinda moments are pretty cool, it lets you put Luke’s current situation into perspective through Lucinda’s more… uh… me-me-me-its-all-about-me colored glasses (she’s rich biatch
). The only thing that would have make it better is a little smooch at the end, however the tender embrace was alright… I guess.

inner Thoughts: Iron Man
May 13, 2008 at 1:05 am | In Movies, Opinion, Reviews | No CommentsTags: Gweneth Paltrow, Iron Man, Jeff Bridges, Robert Downey Jr
NOW!
Robert Downey Jr. does a superb job as Tony Stark, Jeff Bridges does well as Obidiah Stone, and Gwyneth Paltrow plays Pepper Pots in a way that you don’t think “wow that’s a goofy name” - you only think “wow it’d be cool if my daughter could grow up to be Pepper.”
The movie is that good. Really. Don’t believe me? Go to Rotten Tomatoes, it currently has a 93% rating (as of 5/13).
I saw it on what Marcus Theatres calls an UltraScreen. It was a nice experience, though I’m sure a regular movie theatre screen would be great as well. This is one of those movies that you really should see in a theatre… then buy the Blu-Ray disc when it comes out. I’ll probably get the DVD version, but that’s because my a/v equipment is Blu-Ray challenged at the moment.
As far as plot goes it does have the typical super hero movie stuff in there. However - it is wrapped inside a multi-dimensional plot and covered by multi-dimensional acting to the point that when ‘typical super hero plot’ happens you:
1) either didn’t see it coming.
OR
2) were so distracted by the plot depth and sincere acting that you forgot you were watching a big summer blockbuster action movie - well until something blew up (that’s a dead giveaway).
It is well worth your $15 ($10 ticket and $5 soda).

I decided to feature Shawn Ashmore’s pic a little larger than the rest because he’s probably the most recognizable (to us Americans) one out of the group. Also I liked Iceman in X-Men and he was a portion of the reason why.

Couch JJ; Watch & Anticipate (III)
May 11, 2008 at 11:34 pm | In As The World Turns, Greek, Television, Work Out | No CommentsBattlestar Galactica: A good episode this week. Kara met with the hybrid and it said something about seeing the opera house, the final three finding the five, and something else. It was a very good scene. Also another good scene was between Laura and another cancer patient (who is played by Nana Vistor - who played Major Kira in Star Trek DS9) - where she said something to Laura Rosalyn, then Laura was sharing about her mother and then the patient started to say something else and went into a coma. The Colonials now have the baseship of the splinter Cylon group and need to unbox the threes. Basically a lot actually happened this week, and it looks like that much more may happen next week. New episode this coming Friday at 10/9pm CST on SciFi.
As The World Turns: This past week it was just one episode, a hug, and Noah’s father returned into the picture - by manipulating Ameera. We get one episode of Nuke this week where Luke apparently discovers Ameera is in contact with Noah’s dad. It is on Monday (tomorrow), tune in to your CBS station @ 1pm local time.
Robin Hood: This BBC America show is in its second season and is only getting better as it goes. At this point it is three episodes into the season, and so far its kept my attention - which says something. It has been well reviewed and recommended. I recommend it myself, it has Robin Hood, Mariann, and the Sheriff - and a few others too. Watch it Saturdays on BBC America at 9/8pm CST.
Greek: Read my previous weeks recap. This week looks to be another average Greek, which is better than some other shows on TV right now. Watch Greek on ABC Family at 7pm CST on Monday. OR check back here at 11pm CST on Tuesday when I catch the rerun and do my recap (I don’t like working until 8 ’cause I miss Greek).
Work Out: Read my recap from last Tuesday. This coming weeks episode is supposed to focus a bit more on Sky Lab drama.
As for Peeler’s firing - there was no video shown of the comments made about the client or what Lisa/Jackie said or the conversation with the client’s boyfriend. Mumurs are spreading that Gatorade dropped its sponsorship of Work Out due to the fact that Jackie may have been in on the comments. At this point the whole thing is hersay, one side said it was all malicious insults and no apologies, the other says it was innocent and a sincere apology was made. While I don’t condone the situation that is in dispute I do agree with how Jackie addressed it with Peeler. If a boss says it isn’t up for discussion at the moment it isn’t up for discussion at the moment. In that moment the boss is the boss and you leave it at that - you address it later. Don’t barge in, start yelling, and force it to be addressed - that’ll get you fired.
Watch a new Work Out on Tuesday at 10/9pm CST on Bravo, watch what happens.

So I went to darrenhayes.com to see how much it was.
There is the standard version which is $15.99, then I saw a limited (only 2000 copies) version. Turns out it is £29.99, which I realized is about $60.
Crap.
Oh well, I will get the standard version and forgo the fancy version. If only the ounds was worth less or the dollar was worth more - unfortunately the dollar is worthless. Later.

Couch JJ; Greek Recap 1.16 “47 Hrs & 11 Minutes”
May 6, 2008 at 10:59 pm | In Greek, Television | No Comments<10:56p> The live-but-not-live recap starts shortly… of course a live recap would be done at 7pm CST on Monday, not 11pm CST on Tuesday.
<11:00p> Previously… basically it focuses on Cappie/Rebecca, Casey, Evan, and Rusty. Setting up freshman parent weekend…
<11:03p> The KT pledge class decides to not clean and do a minimal bbq. This puts Rusty in a bad place because he hasn’t told his parents that KT is really a drinking fraternity that is social and not service based. Their professors and won’t like that. Casey is more worried about Rebecca’s parents, the US Senator and his wife.
<11:06p> Casey and Ashley are talking about the whole senator thing and her parents being in town and she tells her to relax. It’ll be fine. Right…
<11:08p> Rusty and Dale are talking about parent weekend activity. Dale recognizes that Rusty wants to keep his parents from KT, he says it’s because they wouldn’t understand. Then Dale’s parents arrive… and they’re staying in their dorm room! Haha
Wow, they want to spend as much time together as they can. Gack me with a spoon…
<11:12p> Breakfast with the parents. Rusty lays out his plans for the parents, aka project keep away from KT. They kinda bash Casey for being in a sorority, and then it deflects to Rusty. He then pulls out this lie regarding the KT house being closed because the guy are all in Mexico building hut for ‘hut’-itat. Wow.
<11:15p> Beaver sees Rusty in a tour and crashes it. He tries to cover and say the guys must have gotten back early, his parents also question “Spitter”. He says its his nickname because he spits out injustice. Wow. He ain’t telling white lies, they’re at the very least gray. I don’t know if his cover is working now, it was - not it may not be.
<first commercial break>
<11:19p> Casey is making sure all is fine with ZBZ, hiding biscotti on a chair and all, then Rusty drops by with the parents. He then drops the parents on Casey. Rusty rushes over to the KT house to clean, only to find the rest his pledge class already cleaning.
<11:24p> Casey is then trying to balance entertaining the senator and her parents. Rebecca is concerned because just her dad, the senator, has come - and he won’t talk about it. Casey then intercepts her parents before they start grilling the senator on higher ed funding (they’re professors btw). Now their focus is all on Casey - and Ashley comes and introduces herself… and sticks her foot in her mouth. Casey’s parents then quiz her on what she wants to do, why she’s in a sorority, and that she needs to get a direction now. Casey basically snaps and says that she wants to do something great and inspiring and isn’t sure what that is now. They need to respect her and her decisions and stop picking her apart all the time.
<second commercial break>
<11:28p> Cappie is at the bar and Casey walks in. They talk about the Cartwright parents and how disapproving they can be. Then onto Rebecca’s parents, and how Cappie isn’t going to be meeting them. Casey is shocked that it might be parent serious, and she sticks up for Rebecca.
<11:31p> Back at the dorm room Dale’s parents are driving him crazy. I’m not surprised. Then to Rebecca and her senatorial dad, whom is letting a blonde woman out of his room. Nice.
<11:33p> Casey picks up the parents to go over to KT. Cappie greets the Cartwrights at the door, and everyone - including Casey - complement them on the good fix-up. Then Rebecca shows up at KT along with her father. Rebecca then introduces Cappie to the US Senator, and makes him sound like a old dead-beat loser to piss off daddy-poo. This, of course, pisses Cappie off. Back to the Cartwrights - and they are gushing over Rusty and KT. They’ve been had y’all!
<11:37p> The parents gush so much about Rusty on the way back to the hotel that Casey “forgets” something back at the KT house. She promptly, and violently, turns the car around to go back to KT and the house party that she knows is going on. She takes the parents into the basement where she “forgot” something. There they find Rusty in a maid costume with a tray of shots. Surprise!
<third commercial break>
<11:43p> Casey is talking to Ashley about they whole ambushing Rusty thing. Rusty comes in and is mad. The parentals are making him quit KT. Ouch! Sucky. Then Ashley encounters Rebecca downstairs, where she councils her on how to win Cappie back after embarrassing him in front of her father.
<11:45p> Rusty encounters Dale outside their room, with Dale’s parents inside. Rusty tells Dale they need to stop being afraid of losing their parents approval. Dale agrees… and then wusses out when his mom pops out of the room.
<fourth commercial break>
<11:50p> Rebecca brings greasy food, maybe Sonic, over to Cappie as an apology. She also formally apologizes and says she was trying to use him to get back at her dad for having another affair. She then says she maybe, possibly, cares for him. Excuse and apology accepted - but no pregnancy.
<11:53p> Casey and Rusty then go and stand up to their parents. They basically tell them to step off and respect what they are doing. They end up allowing him to stay him, and then momma Cartwright basically apologizes and says she understands that children and parents can be quite different. Ya think? Then Rebecca stands up her dad and a meeting with the dean to go on a date with Cappie. Snap!
Back at the airport the Cartwright’s flight is delayed… which prompts the up to then “I wish they could stay longer” Rusty and Casey to run out of the terminal.
<end of episode>
Next week, the Greek Games! Looks to be fun, see you then!
Later.

Couch JJ; Work Out Recap 3.03 “Hit The Wall”
May 6, 2008 at 9:03 pm | In Television, Work Out | No Comments<9:01p> Jackie starts out by trashing the trainers to her gf. Uh, hon - you invited them!
The gf gives Jackie twenty questions regarding the cruise. She apparently answers the questions to her satisfaction because they swap more spit than Luke & Noah have in their entire 3 kisses on ATWT.
<9:04p> Jackie quizzes the Sky Lab’ers, which I’ve decided I’m just going to refer to as Lab’ers or a Lab’ie, about their trainers. All seems well except for Greg B and his Lab’ie, he might be focusing on his music career too much. Jackie’s decided to do a weekly boot camp to monitor the Lab’ers progress.
<9:07p> Omg, a Work Out work-out? Shameless merchandising plug of the season! Last time it was the clothing, this time its the DVD. Stop the madness!! ![]()
Anywho, Jackie has to decide on the spot whether to do it, she says yes right then basically because of extreme time constraints. Yep, the tapping for season 3 can’t wrap without the DVD coming out
<9:09p> Erika trains with her Lab’ie and that’s all good, he makes her laugh and she thinks he’s doing well. Then Greg P asks Erika to do a magazine cover with him, “cause they said I need a girl on the cover with me.” On one hand its self-serving, on the other its very flattering and gracious towards Erika that he came to her first.
<9:12p> Renessa is asked by Peeler if she was roughed up on the cruise, she answers yes - and that’s that. Then we go to Jackie and Asst Lisa and she tattle tales, or narks, on Peeler - when he bitched about not being included in the Doug memorial thing.
<commercial break one>
Switched over to CNN, an interesting “moment” right now…. Obama could potential win Indiana. I’ll be switching over during each commercial break…
<9:18p> Greg P is working his magic over the women of Sky Lab. Rebecca mentions how he was the one that stuck by the ’slow’ Peeler during the mud-run, Asst Lisa mentions how he was looking for Erika - she mentions the cover thing. Then they all proceed to talk up Erika, I’m in support of that!
<9:20p> Renessa’s Lab’ie is talked to by Jackie about tardiness, she says she’ll crack the whip and make sure she’s there on time. Lisa’s got a lot more screen time this week…. she goes and talks to Erika and talks her up (you look so nice) and asks about her and Greg P. Then Greg B’s Lab’ie asks Lisa about Greg B and how he’s late and doesn’t seem to make time for her. As Lisa is about to walk her to a different trainer Greg B comes in, his Lab’ie calls bullshit on it. Greg B really comes off as a I don’t care ass hole, he says he knows best and disregards his Lab’ies opinions.
Joe Joe does NOT approve… however in retrospect, after re-watching it, his Lab’ie was being whiny and unfair to him to a point. Angry white woman against calm black man, basically.
<commercial break two>
I just wanna say, as far as CNN goes tonight, Donna Brazile has thrown the smack-down towards quite a few people. Its been awesome.
<9:30p> Back to Greg B drama… Greg B manages to piss of his Lab’ie royally… and Jackie needs to be brought in. I am pissed about how Greg B acts like he’s not at fault at all. Bullshit! Actually it isn’t bullshit, she has some relevant grievances - but over blew them.
<9:32p> Now to Greg P and Erika at the photo-shoot. Erika’s self image issues are making her nervous. Oh, btw - if you want to have defined abs dehydrate yourself and eat don’t eat lots of carbs (carb starve yourself). I guess it works, at least by how Greg P and Erika look I would say it works. Greg P tries to give Erika a background for her to imagine while shooting the photos, its quite sweet really. Then the flash starts going, and her nerves melts away and they work well together. I think Greg P is crushing on Erika - and he asks her to eat after the shoot.
“It just clicked, everything worked.”
-Erika, on the photo-shoot
<9:36p> Renessa and her Lab’ie start boxing, seems all is well there. Back to Greg P and Erika eating after the shoot. They talk about Greg’s military background and he says Erika must be the alpha of any relationship. They are definitely clicking well.
<9:39p> Greg B and Jackie talk about his Lab’ie. Greg B is twisting the situation, I think. NO! Greg actually represented the argument fairly well. Jackie has his back, not cool. Jackie, Greg fucked up and deserved to be called out like that. Greg B is somewhat at fault, but not enough to be yelled at by a client. Argh, either Jackie is blinded by past experiences or they edited the scene to make Greg seem bad. Either way I don’t likey, ’cause it created too much artificial drama.
<commercial break three>
Over on CNN Hillary Clinton is speaking, but I only notice that her paint-suit matches Bill’s tie.
<9:45p> Ok. Greg B calls his Lab’ie and starts to put her mind, and my mind, more at ease that he wants to make this work - and if it doesn’t it won’t be his fault. Good.
Jackie gives Asst Lisa a shirt to give to Peeler. Then the drama starts. Lisa commented about Peeler’s client breasts, which her boyfriend heard, once Lisa learned it was due to cancer she apologizes profusely about it. Jackie and Lisa think it is diffused and forget about it. The boyfriend tells Peeler about it and twists the story, basically the apology is omitted and it becomes Jackie who made the comment - not Lisa like what actually happened.
<9:51p> Peeler confronts Jackie about it. Jackie says its been addressed, she’s busy, and she’s not discussing it any further. He pushes forwards, she says you mention it one more time and you’re fired. He responds, “Then fire me bitch!” Yea, Jackie tells him to get out. He’s done.
“Then fire me bitch!”
-Peeler, and then Jackie fired him…
<commercial break four>
Wow, it only took a bit over two seasons for Jackie to fire him. Though we’ll see if this sticks…
<9:56p> We replay the firing. Then Jackie instructs Lisa to escort Peeler out. Erika, and then Rebecca inquires about it. Jackie said she’s had it and says that no questions he-is-fired. The staff’s reaction… they aren’t too surprised. Then Renessa gets Peeler on speaker-phone, he basically goes off on Jackie.
“Next time I see Jackie Warner I’m going to knock her fucking head off!!”
-Peeler, after Jackie fires him.
<end of episode>
Peeler says how he can’t work with someone like Jackie, and blah blah blah. He basically doesn’t like that he’s not the boss and Jackie is. In next weeks preview he’s not in it, but Greg B’s Lab’ie is and she is the drama creator next week. See you then!
Later.
BTW - some edits were made, as shown by strike through.
You Have A Promblem With That?
May 6, 2008 at 3:01 pm | In News, Politics | No CommentsThe beauty that is news blogging…
It has now been corrected though.
Except it hasn’t… here’s the permalink for it:

Ok… I may do stupid spelling errors like this, but blogging for me is like some weird twisted hobby I have. This blog for CNN is supposed to be somewhat official, and the peole behind it are paid/salaried people.
A couple of tips for CNN;
1) On the WordPress platform (which their blog operates on) you have to change the blog title and the permalink too.
2) Start paying the poor intern who must be posting this stuff for you. I mean unless you have a promblem with that?
Later.
