Newsness; NDSU, Up The Creek, Aquatics Ctr, UND
<iJJ> NDSU spring enrollment hits record 12,562
Good to see the alma mater still doing well. Helps that ND higher education, and higher ed in general, will benefit greatly from the downturn in the economy.
<iJJ> Up the Creek to reopen as Applebee’s
While I don’t think that Fargo-Moorhead needs a forth Applebee’s I never did hear great things about Up the Creek. So if you live in the F-M area and were thinking another Applebee’s was needed – guess this is your day.
<iJJ> Aquatics center plans move forward
Its good to see that Fargo is still moving forward with this sort of stuff. It will definitely help the area continue to be a draw – since many cities are figuring out what to cut. Private citizens are behind this effort BTW, much like the UP Center (hockey arena).
<iJJ> Goodbye, Tom
Tom Clifford is an icon in North Dakota through his work at the University of North Dakota. He is the reason that UND is what it is today. Top entruprenueral school in the country, top aviation program internationally, and a respected medical school. Due to his work UND was seen as the top institution of higher education in ND for decades. Currently one could argue that UND and NDSU are seen as equals.
Later.
BTW – sorry for the lax posting lately. This semester has been quite the crap storm. Might finally be getting a handle on stuff though
